The ratio of dry muscle mass compared to fat is higher in men than in women. Men are simply more muscled than women, and muscles consume more calories than fat, even at rest.</p>
<p>[ad]This means that men, if they want to lose weight, best build up their muscle mass. This will increase their calorieburning, and when the intake of calories doesn&#8217;t increase, or ideally even decreases, you will lose weight. Here is the simple calculation: you lose weight when you&#8217;re calory intake is lower than what you burn. You gain weight when you consume more calories than you burn. So, the more muscles, the higher your calory needs, the more weight you gain (and the better you look).</p>
<p>Of course, a diet, or an increase in exercise can also help to lose weight. In case of exercise, it is best to opt for endurance sports, because the body starts burning fat only after about half hour of training.</p>
